Exciting News from Ms. Megan!
Ms. Megan has taken her passion for early childhood care to the next level and opened a cozy in-home infant care space, designed especially for all the sweet Playtime babies joining our community!
The Playtime Nursery is located at Ms. Megan’s home near Sunset and Hazel, where we’ve created a loving, clean, and safe environment for children ages 3 months to 3 years. This warm, home-based setting provides a gentle transition for little ones while maintaining the same high-quality care and attention you expect from Playtime Academy.
We are a dog-, cat-, and kid-friendly home, and we can’t wait to welcome our tiniest learners.

About Playtime Nursery
Playtime Nursery is thoughtfully designed to meet each child's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs in a nurturing, home-based setting. We offer a play-based environment where infants and toddlers are encouraged to explore, grow, and develop at their own pace.
Our focus is on creating a loving, safe, and developmentally rich space that supports each child’s natural curiosity and fosters early learning through play, connection, and care.
Meet Ms. Kat
My name is Kat (Kathleen), and I have lived in Orangevale since 1987. I am retired, and my sons are grown. No grandbabies yet?!? My boys attended Twin Lakes Elementary and Playtime Academy when it was Bright Horizons.
I am starting my new chapter! I enjoy working with children, gardening, animals, and cooking. I am a Folsom Zoo Sanctuary docent with a year-round garden at my home. I earned my ECE degree years ago and am so happy to work in this field. I believe play helps babies and children acquire the skills to have strong, healthy minds and bodies and become resilient, kind individuals.
